"Hello everyone I’m going on my first ever solo trip. I’m looking for people who are going the same time to social with. I’m a straight 35year old female from London. "
For clubbing and fun, Andana Beach Club is the largest and a great spot. Check their opening days. It's also perfect for dinner and drinks before the main party kicks off, as it's all in the same place.
Never go to the "Azucar" pub.
For more clubbing, start at Plaza del Charco and head all the way down Calle Quintana or Calle Iriarte. You'll find plenty of nightclubs there. Feel free to try any of them; you can probably get in for free.
Relaxation and Daytime Activities:
To relax (weather permitting!), head to Complejo Turístico Municipal Costa Martianez. It's affordable, and I recommend spending the entire day there, from early morning until around 3 or 4 PM. It's a lovely place to unwind.
For lunch and dinner, I can only recommend Mesón Los Gemelos. It's a very typical Canary restaurant, and in my opinion, it's the best. While you might want to try other places as a new visitor, for lunch or dinner, Los Gemelos is always the go-to. Their chicken and Pulpo (octopus) is fantastic, and the "vino dulce de la casa" (house sweet wine) is a must-try. Just be sure to check their opening times and days.
For socializing and Local Vibes
La Bodeguita Aithamy (go from 9 or 10 PM) is a great place to meet new people. They have darts, foosball, etc. It's quite small and looks like a Canary version of an awful Irish Pub feel. Give it a try if you want to socialize with both locals and other travelers.
Pointers for Your Trip
* Loro Parque is nearby. It's a bit pricey, but if you're already in the area, it's definitely worth it. Buy your tickets online to save time.
* Exploring the Canary Islands without a car can be very tough. I highly recommend trying to do some excursions or experiences if you can. I can give you the number of a guy who works for companies that organize these.
* Be open to meeting people! Everyone's on holiday, and even if you're on a solo trip, it's always great to connect with others who might invite you along or let you join their plans if it suits you.
Puerto de la Cruz is a nice city to visit and explore. However, Tenerife is a fantastic island with many things to see, but you'll need a car for that. Just a heads-up, Puerto de la Cruz can sometimes be cloudier than London! |

"Just got here and seams everyone is down the other side of the island "
Hey I’m just back from Puerto & love it there. I met a lovely guy several times who lives there & he’s just joined Fab. He’s just outwith your age range but I can put you in touch with him if you want to message me directly. I can’t message you as I’m outwith your age range 😕x |

"We’re thinking of visiting in October, not sure if many people go to the area, visited a few weeks ago but had family member with us so didn’t look to see what was going on in Puerto de la Cruz."
There’s a swingers club Oh La La, didn’t get the chance to try it but the website looks quite good. I was with my elderly mum so didn’t see much nightlife lol. |
