Party time in Corralejo for 2 weeks commencing the 16th July. They celebrate the patron saint of the Fisher en, called Nuestra Señora del Carmen. Lots going on and a feast for the eyes, among other things. |

"I'll say this for the Spanish.they don't need much of an excuse to have a party
True but unlike the British they don't also get pissed out of their heads to enjoy it. "
24 years since I was " pissed " .
I must have some Spanish blood in me

There's nothing like a sweeping generalisation, eh? |

"Not been yet at this time of year, usually go November and February, when weather is at its lowest point here in UK"
Same here. 2 or 3 times a year but haven't been in the height of summer for around 10 years. It's at its best October/November for us. |

True, but we've lived here for ten years and the only d*unks we've seen here are British. |

I've been there enough times to know that there are many British tourists who visit the island and very little in the way of d*unken behaviour. In fact, using Corralejo as a yardstick, I'd say less than 0.5% of Brits need to get pissed to enjoy themselves.
On my 3 visits in the past 12 months, I can only think of encountering 1 person who was so d*unk that he was annoying other customers in the bar we were in at the time (Blue Rock). He wasn't British.
We all know there's a drinking culture amongst some Brits but let's not tar everyone with the same brush. |
