"I keep looking at the roll calls for summer, june, july august and still good numbers going out to PDI. Is becoming an all year holiday hotspot? Would you go at these times and if not why not?" Possibly less so as the temperatures in summer have been rising to sometimes uncomfortable levels. When we started going to the canaries or was because of the all year round temperate climate, low to mid 20s summer and winter but currently high 30s
"Hi there! Gran canaria has been all year round destiny for decades. But the high season is always from october to easter. In the summer prices drop a bit specialy in may and early june and is more common to see families. Nightlife is not so vibrant like years before, for different reasons covid, age of regular clients, poor management and prices of hotels and flights that make difficult for young people to travel to the island as in the past." Here at the moment, 1st time in August as usually visit Oct-Feb. lot of bars/shops closed as the locals are on holiday. Bars and restaurants are no where as busy. The temperature has been very high, up to 40 and not dropping much below 30 at night, which means if you suffer with breathing difficulties it’s not pleasant! Holiday is still enjoyable but think we will revert back to our usual dates.

The bars and clubs that are usually packed are far quieter than Easter or October when we normally come over. It’s still a great place to visit this time of year, just feels a distinctly more vanilla experience.
