Evening all. We are thinking of going to GC next year late spring/early summer. So much info here but it’s overwhelming! Just looking for a bit of advice on what times of year are good, what areas are best to look at hotels etc
Would be looking to mix the normal holiday stuff with a bit of fab fun, in the dunes and perhaps some clubs some evenings.
Any pointers appreciated |

October and November is considered high season. Things are quieter during the traditional summer months apparently but busy enough at other times. PDI/Maspalomas is where the clubs are situated. You can mix things up there, beach by day and clubs at night etc. Playing in the dunes is frowned upon now and you risk a fine. |

From mid September till March, oct and Nov being the busiest time, we normally go end of September/October and swingers everywhere, look up eden club in gc, they have a guide to swinging in and around playa del ingles x |

So "playing in the dunes....risks a fine"?
That kills a good percentage of their tourist trade then. So Gran Canaria is now just like any other tatty overpriced Spanish resort. |

They are protecting their nature, and if you think it's overpriced then stay at home. |

The Dunes are a protected area and that has to be respected. There is an abundance of swinger related bars/clubs/resorts in PDI. Gran Canaria is hardly tacky, there are beautiful areas and sites to visit. The fact that playing in the Dunes is now not allowed certainly does not have have an effect on the tourist trade to the island. |

So what percentage is that? Less than 1% if you’re lucky. |

Mr bah hum bug. You seem to be in a minority of one. The rest of us have a wonderful time. It’s not just about being able to pull. Stay home or go elsewhere. |

Our advice would be to book a hotel. From September it’s fairly busy. We’re staying in gold by the marina, it’s a beautiful hotel. Five minutes from Yumbo center and five minutes from Cita. But there are others. It was an adventure for us. But we love it. |

To the OP, you mention late spring/early summer. The whole of March and well into April is ideal for both a swinging holiday and/or relaxing one. The swinging side starts to taper off as you go into May and starts to pick up again in Sept. Many clubs close or take hols in summer months so just be aware.
As others have mentioned, oct nov and dec are the busiest time in the swinging calender.

We went for our first time in 2024, and are returning on the 10th Jan26 to Gold. Think our first time was more of a test the water. Looking forward to exploring more this next time. We would definately recommend the hotel just purely because breakfast is served until 12:00.. |

This is personal opinion so not everyone will agree -
When - early/mid Oct we like best. From a social side we’ve found Oct to be more when UK people visit, Nov we found more European (German/scandi) visitors. Both have pros/cons and can bring very different vibes.
Where - there are loads of choices for accomodation. For a 1st visit you can’t go wrong with Gold. Nice hotel, lots of similar minded people will be there and it’s central to pretty much much everything. We always stop at Venus now, would def recommend a day trip there.
Again a personal view, but I’d say it took us 2/3 visits before we really got our heads around what we like, where we like to go etc. There’s huge variety on offer and what one person likes another hates. For a 1st holiday go and try all the main bars/clubs… some you’ll love some you’ll hate.
It’s a beautiful island with so much more on offer than just swinging… mix up the vanilla and naughtiness and you’ll fall in love with the place.
Happy for a DM if you need more info
