Bust to Faro for us then a lovely walk to kiosk 7 as we love the vibe there, staying in a bungalow in Maspalomas this time and hoping it’s walking distance

3 is closest to where we normally stay but it’s pretty chilled and more foreign naturists we’ve found , 7 we’ve only visited twice but deffo a far livelier vibe .

We’re venturing to 7 this year. Taking a cab to the lighthouse and a short stroll from there. Hopefully interacting with lovely people. We know playing is banned. But??

If you are staying in a hotel! Check where the bus stops at, most hotels do taxi bus to the beach, top or bottom. If not grab normal bus to the beach, walk or taxi back. Works out cheapest.

You can stroll back from 7 to Tipsy and grab a drink & food if you haven't got it on your hotel deal. Or good old mc Donald's.

Depends where you are staying, the kiosk is a bar, if you mean when it closes, then lots walk back to tipsy hammock, which is just a normal bar, restaurant. Great food, lively entertainment and have dumped a bottle of sports down people's throats

I much prefer kiosk 7 which is a good stroll from the lighthouse. Much easier if you walk along the waters edge on wet sand otherwise it feels like crossing the Sahara... just make sure you get there early if you want a sunbed because in my experience by 10am most have been snapped up....

How long time wise is the walk along the beach from kiosk 3 to kiosk 7. Is it nudist all the way along ?

Reply privately, Reply in forum +quote or View forums list

By *umptuous DuoCouple 33 weeks ago

Northeast

The walk from tipsy hammock to the light house along the waters edge is approximately 5km.

I would estimate from kiosk 3 to 7 would be around 4km.

Kiosk 7 is around 500 metres from the lighthouse.

Here is where fab falls down badly! So using g maps the distance from 7 to 3 along the wet sand is 1.85miles and to walk down the beach then turn and walk straight to Tipsy hammock is 2.2 miles exactly. I screenshot it if anyone wants it

From the middle of kiosk 7 to the boardwalk on the beach is 1/2 a mile exactly then its back up the boardwalk as you know to shops, bus, taxi or hotels. Added the 7 to 3 to tipsy on other post but all in miles

From the bus station to walk down and onto the beach up to the actual kiosk in 7 is 0.9miles long. So hopefully that now covers all that. Screenshots of Google maps taken in case anyone wants

Heard it was hefty, we were surprised to see the helicopter flying one way and then back again. Their taking it serious.

We've been at Kiosk 7 most days this week.

Sunbeds and umbrellas almost all taken by noon.

7.50 euros for umbrella and 2 beds, card only.

Netting around both areas when windy.

Toilet can be a bit of a wait but not too long.

Good mix of people.

Have they got public toilets at 7 again?

We’ve never been fined, that said I really don’t want SW to have to explain to her employers if it was reported further. So we abide by what the signs ask us not to do. Think it’s respectful too, only my opinion.

Hi ye I get what your saying it's just a question I was wondering if it was true and people do get fined. I have seen the signs and like you we do now abide by them but it also says no comming off the path and not to cross the ropes but many people do .just trying to find out how true theses signs are .

On its very first day this week (Tuesday), the operation intervened with 75 people, mostly holidaymakers, who had entered prohibited areas, guiding them back to authorised walkways.

In addition, 18 fines were issued: 15 to visitors (including two residents, four Spanish nationals, and several foreign tourists), one to a photography company operating without permission, and two to drone owners flying illegally in the protected area.

The coordinated patrol involved 15 agents from the Guardia Civil, the Cabildo’s Environmental Department, and the local police, who used quads, motorbikes, and drones to monitor the reserve. The island’s environment councillor, Raúl García Brink, praised the teamwork, saying that afternoon patrols will now be repeated regularly, as this is when visitor numbers peak.

He also confirmed that new signs, cameras, and sensors will be installed to improve control of the area. “We hope that next year we’ll have all the tools in place to put an end to these behaviours in the protected dunes,” he said.

The Cabildo president, Antonio Morales, highlighted the progress made in recent years under the Masdunas I and Masdunas II scientific projects, which have restored much of the dune system, reduced sand loss, and supported native plants and wildlife. He noted that while far fewer people enter the dunes illegally today compared to a decade ago, the problem has not disappeared.

To strengthen protection, the Cabildo has added eight new environmental officers and continues to coordinate with state and local authorities. Morales also called on hotels to play a greater role by informing guests about the importance of respecting the dunes.

So what’s this with the dunes? Are you not allowed on them? Or is it just people “playing” that’s not allowed?

Dunes were always a nature reserve and dancing around on certain areas is not allowed but sucking cocks in public and shitting has never been legal either. Just behave respectfully and keep off marked bits and police will be fine.

Guess it depends on where you’re staying, and if you can be bothered with bus/taxi.

We’ve been to both but prefer 3 as it’s an easy walk from where we stay, and get to chill in the tipsy after. Both seem very similar with great bar staff, toilets and people.

We prefer 7, music is better and people watching is brilliant, but agree it’s a bit of a trek if you’re staying in PDI.

3 is good and the attraction of the tipsy afterwards rounds off what is normally a great day. Can be difficult to get a bed if you’re not there early.

Both have their advantages but no matter which we choose, always have a great time.
