All depends what you like, beside you guys is a steak restaurant, el Carreton across the road is an all you can eat chinese restaurant chino China sol
Walk towards the Bull you have a nice restaurant Jardin del sol,
Walk towards greenfields you have
Poke station or an Indian
Opposite direction you have the gran chaparral few restaurants, if you are going out then the yumbo is on your way, multiple choices from burger king, Italian, Chinese etc. Or in the cita itself you have a lot of choice. Anything special your after? |

If you want Chinese then one in jardin del sol is good and it's NOT an all you can eat buffet.
Cath from Eden recommended it and she cleared her plate
Asia house all you can eat (freshly cooked not buffet) in San Fernando is excellent and was another recommendation from Cath
El Poncho beside Peaches and Cream is without a doubt the best steakhouse in PDI in our opinion.
Los Porches between Cita and La Sandia is good too
The Indian (almost) opposite Route 69 (now sadly gone) is excellent and cheap
Rias Bajas beside Yumbo is supposed to be the best fish restaurant although we haven't tried it
If Sushi or Teppenyaki is your thing then Sakura III opposite peaches and cream on the roundabout
Chez Luigi offers some very reasonable priced decent food and nice selection of after dinner shots

The Restaurant 360 on top of The Bohemia Suites is amazing! Also Cocktail bar with 360 view of the bay too. Very fancy and a little expensive.
You need to book tho as i think they only serve non-hotel guests certain days.

"Beat stakes are from Marco Polo by a mile.
What was the name of the all you can eat Asian you recommended to us on ave tirijana, it was really good too."
Innovador- Restaurante Asiatico? Is that the one? Miss Asia has moved next door. |

We enjoy Que Paso Tio for Italian.
Mr Greek for a…erm… Greek.
Had a decent steak/lamb at El Asador as well.
Flavours of India did a nice curry when we were there in April. Went three times.
Had a good gourmet burger at Aloha Hamburger Bar.
Power breakfast at Calma Cafe.
Decent food at Adria.
And nice chicken and chips at La Ciudadela, which also does nice paella and fish/seafood I’m told (but I’m allergic to fish and seafood so can’t vouch personally). |

We found that 'Greek Village' was much better tbh. More menu options for a start.
For Indian try Taj on the sea front"
Greek Village has been on our to do list for years now. I believe they use the same supplier.
If their stifado is anywhere as good as Mr Greek, then I’ll be made up. |

plenty options to choose from there. You wont stick with many of those.
Mundo on the main drag is one of our fabourites, small but the food is great,
The Indian on the Melanores strip is superb. Misbah
Rias Bajas on the corner of the Yumbo is a fabulous fish restaurant.
El Poncho definately for steak.

It's hard to beat a good stifado, and we'll miss you again this year 😭 |

"I think this is a long shot but in mainland Spain we like gambas pil pil but have never found it in gc only garlic prawns. Has anyone ever came across it "
Forgive my ignorance as I’m allergic, but are they not the same thing, albeit a slight difference in regional product and cooking?
My partner likes gambas con ajillo, so if there is a distinct difference vs a nuance she’d definitely be interested in this and we’ll keep an eye out and update you after our October trip. x |

"Very different pil pil has a lot of spices in its very different from just garlic prawns "
Ah interesting. Lizzie would certainly like this if there’s lots of spices.
We’ll keep a look out when we’re there. |

"For over a decade we’ve walked past and smells good and always said we’d pop in.
Our friends NI Two, who are very knowledgeable recommend it.
Think we might just have to go this time."
I found the baked cod particularly good also the Canarian soup |

Usually only eat at La Ciudadela down there and occasionally at the Tipsy.
Never eaten at the Buccanero so might give that a bash for Lizzie’s garlic prawns fix. |

It's a great place for people watching and cheap lunch.
As an aside theres a place run by two Chinese ladies down the strip between the Faro and the dunes at maspalomas that we always stop for lunch their chips and calamari are wonderful with ice cold beer |

Do not miss El Poncho for a steak. Absolutely glorious.
Restaurant LoLa does some really interesting plates if you’re looking for something out of the ordinary.
Calma Chicha is tiny, but well presented, and good for an intimate date.
We have also been recommended LoveFood but apparently it’s not open every day and difficult to get a table.
The sushi place opposite Peaches&Cream was good, although surprisingly quiet when we went. |

LoLa & next door Social Tapas are both excellent and have the same owner. For Lola it's better to make reservation.
Calma Chicha is not that tiny at all, they have an outdoor terrace AND quite a few tables inside as well. Price quality is amazing and very intimate indeed.
Lovin'Food close to our club is VERY tiny but it's so wonderful, you absolutely need to make a reservation though. I think this season they are open Monday till Friday.
The sushi place opposite us (Sakura) is sometimes busy and sometimes quiet. Personally we would recommend Miss Asia for Sushi (also on Avenida Tirajana).
Enjoy your dinner ! |
