We are off in Corralejo Mid March.
We usually go to PDI but thought we might try somewhere different.
As long as the sun shines and bars are open that is always a good start.
Anyone else around then? |

"We normally only go there in November, but next year we are trying March as well, (04/03-18/03) flying from Bristol.
What is passport control like now? going in and coming out."
Was there in December - arrival was more or less as normal but departure was a bit of a nightmare. All the new technology appeared to be in place but was either not working or was switched off. All out-going passports were checked manually and you had to queue for approx an hour to get through to gate. Some flights to UK were delayed waiting on passengers clearing passport control!!
Advise making an early check at gate control to see if still manual checks and if so, queue well in advance or timing will get a bit scary! |

In November they were calling out passengers for flights that were due to take off, took us an hour to get throu, we were in sight of the border control officers then they opened the Electronic gates, it was utter chaos.
I was stopped from taking a quaterfull water bottle of orange juice throu the bag check on the way home, yet you can take out 2 litres of fluid from UK airports.
Good advice to get to airport early on the way home. |

We flew out of Fuerte on Thursday to Luton, very quiet and passport only stamped. No scanning, no fingerprints or facial recognition involved. |

When you flew out on Thursday was the Airport busy? so it was hand over passport, they look at it and you, stamp it and you are away.
We fly in and out on Wednesdays, and the last 2 years there was a long line of people waiting to get throu passport control, took us about an hour both times. |

We were the only people in the vicinity of the machines and the stamping office. Wednesday was always the traditional Brit arrival day on the island. Lots of flights to Germany on Thursdays, the day we left. |

We are over 17th to 26th March, staying in Correlajo.
It certainly does not look as lively a place as our usual March PDI trip. Lol
Who has recommendations for bars and hang out places with good food, beer and chat? |

Sit rep as arrived yesterday. 3 planes ahead of us so arrivals and EES took an hour and half. Bags were then delayed cos the belt was full as no one was taking them off as still going through EES. Weather is erm “fresh” whilst we’re out by the pool there’s no sun and we’re in fleeces. Oh well it’s a still break and peaceful and quiet. |

Arrived early at airport, no delays at jet2 baggage check in, there was a long line at hand/cabin luggage to be x-rayed, that took 25 mins. The E-gate/passport control took no time at all.
There were lots of calls asking you to go through passport control an hour before your flight.
over all a lot better than last November, saying that just looked and e-gates have a long queue waiting to get through.
Suggest you get here early and miss the rush to get home. |
