For us it was a bloody nightmare being sent into three different queues before going through gates then getting split up to go collect cases......maybe we was just unlucky. |

Tenerife resident of 25 years - please remember EES for GB residents (not anyone from Ireland north or south that can get a Irish passport ) is a result of brexit - it is a system to protect the people of europa from illegals and most of all foreign criminals - the second part in 2027 will mean those with criminal records in their home countries will no even be allowed to get on a plane - also those with no or little money or a hotel will also be suject to more inspection - so please respect the wishes of the people who live and work in your holiday resort to have a safe life for their families |

its simple - ees will have access to UK criminal records - if you have a record in the last 5 years then you will have to go for an interview in london or scotland and pay a €99 visa - the VISA WAVIER ie the online form you will fill in in the UK will say yes or no to letting you even get on a plane - this starts 2027 |

anyone with EUROPA ID cards (EU/EEA/CH) - as passports are not needed to travel within the area (only 30% of Spanish have one) just has to show it if asked by border police - EES is for THIRD COUNTRIES only |

There are queues for Irish passport holders as you still have to scan through….but they have a separate queue…generally the number of Irish passport holders is less than UK passport holders (on our fights this is usually the case) and then our queue is much shorter….we didn’t even have to wait for a scanner to be free….breezed through in 2 mins.
Our friends with UK passports were through in 10 mins….but all depends on number of flights arriving same time as yours. |
