Been to PDI numerous times and want to sample the local food rather than the commercialised area of Maspolomas .... anyone got any tips of nice places to eat ....we’ve got to keep our energy levels up

Have heard Wapa Tapa is very popular. Check trip advisor. Hope you enjoy

Italian - Lola or Grand Italia

Steak - el churrasco or papis grill

Spanish cuisine - Gorbea

Burgers - Westend or 100 Gramos

Is Wapa Tapa worth a visit, have never been, but gets great reviews?

I love tapas, but I have never been to a restaurant that serves them, as I prefere to make them myself, but many of my clients have been, and these seem Quite good, as they are not as Simple as you would get usually, more crafty.

Wapa is worth a visit but you must book.

The food and service is professional but if you are in a rush this may not be the place.

Restaurante Las Cumbres Mesón del Cordero is the most under rated restaurant in PDI

You need to get out of town to taste original food were locals eat. You need a local guide that is the best way.

My spanish friend took me to a tapas place short drive from pdi .. omg that was the best tapas ever .all the local eat there .

And lola restaurant in yumbo amazing food you book it by the phone ..

Wapa tapa is great too ..

Samsara _aspalomas amazing food but you need to book a few weeks before you go

there are two shopping streets in san fernando this tavern is on the lower one just down from hippo dino shopping centre steps from one street to other is at side of large clothing shop on upper street a clothing shop a lot of tourist use as it is good quality and value food in tavern is very nice

Maximillion or gran Italia (if you only try one it's Gran Italia)

Grill De Faro

Pub grub:

PDI I've only ever tried the Westend bar and it was very good.

Wappa tappa is awesome best food in playa will need to book in advance.

Loads of good restuarants in GC , never had a bad meal , Marco polo is very nice as are all the restaurants upstairs in Cita , steaks are amazing , even had a good meal in the german restuarants on ground floor in cita , squid was superb and very reasonably priced
