4. Depression
Ahh the learned helplessness when you realise you have so little control over your predicament and your fate is in their hands. They give you what you're craving finally and then there's that moment of desperate and yet beautiful sadness when it's taken away again and is replaced by despair. When you get to this stage the doubt also creeps in: will you ever get what you want... no.. not just want, but what you *need*? You're at that almost pathetic, helpless stage... Connection with the world around you is tenuous as you've been worn down and the fight eroded out of you and the only thing on your mind is what's missing.
