Years ago I was a Police Officer and one Sunday morning I had to attend search the bedroom of a 19 year old lad who’d been arrested the night before for possession of cocaine in a nightclub. We were legitimately searching for more drugs etc. and it was routine for that offence. His Mother was horrified, but showed us to his room and left us to it.
In his bedroom I found a small plastic safe, kind of like a toy, but it was still locked. I wondered if this was where he kept his drugs…. I went out and asked his Mother if she knew where the key was. She didn’t but just said ‘break it open’.
Back in the bedroom I broke open the little safe and found no drugs inside, but did find a little glass ‘bong’ type drug smoking pipe. Along with that was a set of ten Polaroids of a very hot young lady (presumably his girlfriend) who started out fully dressed as a cheerleader and ended up, through a striptease wearing nothing at all, laying on her back with her legs spread wide….
I seized the drug pipe and hid the photos where his Mother wouldn’t find them. I went back to the Police Station to interview and deal with him. During the interview I showed him the drug pipe and asked him about it. He answered and we were a couple of questions along from that when he went a bit red and said “Oh no. I just remembered, if you found that pipe I know what else you’ve seen…” throwing his head in his hands.
I assured him that I’d hidden the items of his concern from his Mother, told him where, and we carried on.
As a first offence we let him go with just a caution for the cocaine. I bet that all taught him a lesson though… Lol! |
