In the faint neon light, our reflections blur into shapeless silhouettes in the wall-length mirror. My tears rise like water from a hidden spring. With every fresh stroke of the cane, they quietly spill over, clearing my mind.
Everything is silent around us. Even the dark beat of the club cannot penetrate the walls of our world.
You pause, and I wipe my tears away.
The mirror clears. Our eyes meet, and I see the change in yours.
This is not solely my outlet anymore.
