pic watermarks

have updated our bio a few time but was wondering what the most effective way to watermark our pbotos is? Have been advised by somone who thinks they rember seing a cropped version of a photo we shated with them while chatting.

If you want to watermark your photos, you can use many mobile apps to add text to a photo. Place it right over the middle of the image to avoid it getting cropped

We use an app called "Snapseed"* for cropping, light filtering and also for adding our watermark using the "Text" option. Dead easy.

*both Android here - not sure if they do an Apple version.

They do an iOS version also.

If you want to watermark, try diagonally across the image with a large font using low opacity, so you have some protection without spoiling the viewing experience.

If you want ultimate protection, don’t post images.

We try and strike a balance betwee ruining the photo and making it hard to crop out the watermark. There's always a risk of pics being stolen and passed off as someone else's but we try and minimise it.

ye looking for a way to makes it easier for it to be identified as ours and make it easier to spot if it gets stolen might give the app a shot.

iWatermark+ is great on iPhone. Also removes location data.
