Bare for oral both ways seems to be the accepted way of doing it for most. And no, it is not safe. Transfer of STI's can and do happen but it is less common for it to happen that way.

The only way to be sure that you are in fact safe is to have regular check-ups at the GUM clinic, asking for a throat swab as well. The frequency of check-ups will depend on who and how many you meet.

Happy swinging.

no sex is the safest sex you can have. there is a chance of catching STD's vis oral but they are fairly minimal i am led to believe

"Do most people have unprotected oral sex on meets? I would hope people use protection for penetrative sex but not sure if its safe enough to have have oral?"

OMG NO IT ISN'T SAFE !!!

That is why when you go for a check a throat swab is taken. There is a strain of gonorrhea which is antibiotic resistant which can be caught orally.

Safe sex every time.

Been to clubs many times and seen lots of things...had many conversations with many people and while safe sex is usually practised...I have never seen or heard of anyone using a condom for oral sex...Def penetration but never for oral... something to think about though..I can,t say I would like to perform oral on a man with a condom..It would be like sucking on a plastic bag... Definitely something to think about though.

In quite a few porn flicks you see the guy pull off the condom to shoot in the girls mouth so that kind of suggests that penetration is more risky.

I wonder what percentage of STDs in males were caught by eating an infected pussy?

The frequency of check Ups should have no baring on who or numbers to be fair. Regular check his even when you haven't played in a while is the best way forward. Even if you only softswap and practice safe sex it doesn't make you immune. Regular check Ups and honesty at your clinics will stand you jn good stead.

obviously people who put themselves at risk need to get checked but my question is weather or not to have unprotected oral at all... is it worth it? that then brings up the question is playing worth it with no oral?

I suck a lot of cock. it's always to completion. so I guess I am at the high end of the risk scale. some weeks we are talking 60plus cum loads.

I would never suck a cock with a condom on. nor have I ever seen anyone doing so ( sure there are people that do).

But what I'm saying is that I've as yet not caught anything from unprotected oral and too be fair it's hard to prove how things were caught.

do what is right for you. get tested even when you think your safe as you haven't done anything unprotected . as that is always a worry as I've spoken to a few people on here that think that if you never have anything unprotected that you don't need testing.

Ask those who have caught something not treatable whether it's worth it? Maybe that is where a special compatible friend comes in handy

Just as easy to get stds from oral if not more so. I work in healthcare and most people I talk to are staggeringly ignorant. The sex ed in schools is failing!!

Someone with oral herpes aka a coldsore kissing/licking your genitals can give you genital herpes. Equally you can catch coldsores from oral sex with someone with herpes.

Approx 3 out of 10 adults have herpes and 6 in 10 have oral herpes. But many people never have symptoms.

No sex is safe. Regular checks won't keep you safe...only tell you if you've caught something LOL

Cut risks...cut number of partners. Never have sex without condoms. If you must have oral sex...never do it when you have shaving cuts/mouth ulcers. Check partners for coldsores LOL

With regards to other stds...they can all be cured. It's herpes and hiv your'e stuck with...remember though...herpes is just a skin infection...not a death sentence.

Not sure where the laugh out loud applies when dealing with this pretty important topic?

In my opinion All swingers, regardless of how they play should be regularly checked at a Sexual health clinic and be completely honest with the staff, however embarassing this may be at times to protect themselves and any play partners too. Also it is up to the individual to risk assess every situation on its own merrits to see if you are prepared to take the percieved risk in view of the potential benefits. I always give oral bare but I am aware of the potential risks of my choice but my decisions are educated ones.

The only "SAFE" sex is a wank alone (condom optional).

Any type of sex that involves exchange of bodily fluids is a risk.

Only get checked if you put yourself at risk

This seems to be a very common theme on here. Just cause you bag uo doesn't mean you won't get anything. I have said this so many times recently its untrue.

I would rather play with a barebacker that gets checked lots rather than someone who always used condoms and "thinks" they are clean. This whole only get checked if you put yourself at risk concept kind of shits all over the irresponsible bare backer arguement

ok so we know where we stand with blowjobs but what I'm more interested in eating pussy... it really would kill sex for me if I couldn't lick, taste and smell THAT scent/aroma.

How risky is it? If the pussy is nice and clean and a healthy shade of pink with no obvious fungal discharge or odour? can you eat that?

"I work in healthcare and most people I talk to are staggeringly ignorant. The sex ed in schools is failing!!"

The SexEd in schools is complete CRAP! A few years ago I ended up with three of my then 15yr old's girlfriends from school sitting around my kitchen table giving them a PROPER SexEd 'lecture'! Their naivety astonished and worried me.

They were ALL under the impression that you only have to take the pill 'when you have a boyfriend'... Some of them have 'boyfriends' who just about last the weekend.

What worried me most about the 'SexEd' they had received is that there seemed to be no relevance shown which connected all the basic facts given to them. I.E. the relevance of getting Fact no 2 wrong, on Fact no 8 was not explained at all, and so on. The worst one was that they were told that they should wear a condom for anal sex, but NOT told that they should change it for a different one if they then went back to vaginal after!!! When I explained - in graphic detail - the kind of infections they could get from using the same condom, one of them was almost physically sick - over MY kitchen table!! They had NO idea about this, and it is no surprise to me that you get a thread like this one about oral sex on a swingers site to be honest......

everyone who has sex is putting themselves at risk

If you have sex theres a risk

everyone should get checked regular

personally i wouldnt meet someone who didnt do oral sex, i would get nothing from meeting a guy who just wanted to slap a condom on and fuck me

This is my views too. I started to count but this year alone it's 3 figures so 14 years of swinging and a good few years promiscuous before that and never caught anything from oral and I do tend to always swallow or get it in my mouth some way.

I've never caught anything so far in general either but it's orally I take the risks mostly

The main thing you could catch is oral herpes if the guy had herpes. It's worse the other way round...social stigma being what it is.

First of all I DID NOT say the people I WORK with are ignorant. I said MOST people I TALK to are.

Secondly I would be very interested to know the source of your fact.

Thirdly I'm not quite sure why you seem to feel the need to post your reply in such an accusatory manner. I'm only pointing out what I know. Feel free to add to that without being aggressive.

Cheers

Understand there are risks but as far as both of us are concerned, after many, many years of unprotected oral with many, many people neither of us have had any ill effects (unless you count gagging on mouthfuls of cum!)

Doesn't matter how many 1000's of cocks you've sucked in the past without ill effects, it only takes one in the future.

I've often wondered about this subject, but I continue to take the risk. I have given oral whilst my partner's worn a condom, but just because he's just been fucking me and I'm just having a taste of my juices before continuing to ride him!
