We've had messages from people who appear to have viewed our profile (by knowing some info etc) yet they haven't appeared on "who viewed me"!!!

Is it possible to remove the fact that you've looked at a profile?

You can be hidden, browse incognito, so they won't show up on who's viewed you.

If you have a paid subscription, you can change your privacy settings so that you don't appear in the 'whos viewed me' section.

You can change if you want to be viewed when you view other profiles so they know it was you or not be shown
