You'll increase your chances of a meet by displaying verifications, but some like not to show them.

Not where we seem to be...

It can be a poisoned chalice.

People see them and are put off by who you've met. Give grief to the people you've met. All sorts of silly nonsense around showing them.

If people are put off by who we've met, good. Saves us blocking them.

We have decided now to only meet well verified people who are willing to display at least a few.

Too many talkers and not enough walkers.

Of course. Think of it in comparison to eBay feedback.

I used to proudly display all of mine in detail until one of my meets met another in person and made up some lies about things I had said (or not) about them. The truth eventually came to the surface as it was not the only time they had made up lies. I thought I must have done something wrong, but couldn't work out what! As they say, pride comes before a fall.

It seems some people in adult life haven't progressed far from the school yard. I am now a little more guarded with my verifications because there are weird people out there.

And just like a court of law, anything you say (or publish) may be used against you".

Well nobody is hardly going to display a negative one are they?

I dont show mine as I don't think it's anyones buisiness who I have met.

My account showing I have been verified as recently meeting is good enough for me.

I don't show mine as it's my choice not too. I show my verification summary and that should be enough x

Bridlington.

I find them a helpful addition to the actual profile which often is somewhat short on detail.

In what way are they helpful though? I find 90% of them all look the same. It's not like people would ever show a negative veri.

I wouldn't bet on that, one regular forumite has 2 dreadful veris on display.

Swings and roundabouts. If we met a couple and got on REALLY well with them, repeat meets and growing friendship etc then no we wouldn't want to show their veri. Why ?, twice now we've had a previous meet pester friends without speaking to us first (we've had a profile here in one form or another for 8 years or so). Showing veri's can help those who are unsure, new or have been messed around though. We have shown verifications for someone to view, then hidden them again. .. On a side note, where we've had repeated meets we ask them not to verify us again

I would say yes, it's better to have them on display, as in the past, when I've only had a summary on show, people have asked to read them anyway

Experiment with showing and hiding and then decide for yourself.

the only reason we dont show all our veris is down to idiots and nasty folk plaing games normaly people we used to say no thanks to ...

we will open veris up to be seen if someone wants to meet to show we are real ..

and we ask the same because we will only meet those with real play meet veri's cam and social veris mean nothing ...

I don't display mine. I've just received criticism today for not showing them. But it's my choice. I don't want everyone knowing who I've met
