As far as I am aware Mods on this site are volunteers, and probably aren’t on 24/7 to approve photos

Indeed and perhaps at 5am they were sleeping. Not sure gold makes a difference to the priority of pic approval.

The photo mods are volunteers. They have lives and occasionally sleep. It’s not a paid service they tirelessly do. Being a gold site supporter doesn’t give you any advantage of being approved earlier.
