Morning all…

Is there a way to block men messaging you but still talk to the ones you’re already talking to, if that makes sense?

We’re getting 7-8 new messages a day from single men but we’re happy chatting to the select few who we’ve met, so don’t want to block all and not be able to chat to the ones we like.

Thank you

only a guess but i'm thinking block all single men.

If you add the ones you like chatting to , to your friends list they wont be included in the block.

Yes. You can filter out single men but it will still allow through men you’ve privately messaged. A history of private messages removes the filter for that person only.

Remember, even sending “no thanks” messages to people will lift the filter for them.

Also remember, you can block individuals too using the block function.

just block them as you get the messages or just put in settings not looking for men will still allow you to message the ones you been chatting too

Yes. Choosing to filter out men will only affect new interactions.

Plus if someone takes your fancy and you make first contact they'll be able to reply.

So I’ve blocked them

But I’m still getting messages from ones who are already in my inbox who I’m not friends with. Do I need to delete those messages to kind of reset it so they’re blocked?

If there's ever been contact between you the filter won't work. You'll need to block if you don't want future contact with them.
