I am contemplating taking up an offer of having a male wank buddy, this would have a bi- element to it so not strictly just hanging out and watching porn, but also not fully male-male sex session.

Thanks everyone for the thoughtful replies. Has really reminded me it's a two way thing and also building a relationship with a human. I think I got a bit distracted down a very transactional path that guys only want pre-arranged wank and go with barely any conversation... When really it seems just like any other relationship... There's no set way.
Just like any other scenario, it's completepy dependant on whatever you both decide it should be.
Some people might enjoy cum and go.

There are no rules.

Something I have done a few times.
I approach it like any meeting. Plenty of chat in here first to check a level of compatibility between us, the guy is not an idiot (loads of them sadly) and an outline understanding what what a wanking meeting might shape out as. It's what Coleraine Couple said... communication is key, and that's not always a given on Fab. (Nor even on Fabguys, where all my meets have come from).
Most have mine have been something like this... there has to be a good amount of chat beforehand, we work out if we've got some common turn ons, (a shared set of porn likes or at least fantasies to discuss is pretty critical). We work out whether mutual touching is good for both or whether it's self pleasure only (though it's almost always mutual), and whether any oral attention would be unwelcome at any point.
