"When we message people we would like to have a responce. If not interested just tell us. We wont bother you again. We think its very rude not to respond."
It's not - they aren't interested, take a no reply as a message that they don't want to meet you. Z |

Whilst frustrating do not worry about just make note who you messaged so you can avoid repeating again.
I just carry on if i get no response as i respect others choices whether to reply or not the same applies as to my choice whether to reply. |

Response*
Each individual have their own way of responding. Some provide a response whilst others provide no response. No point wasting our time thinking about what could have been done...what's done is done.

"It's not rude. Some people don't take no for an answer which puts people off replying. Just take a deleted message as a no thanks as it states in the site FAQ if you read them "

We find it discourteous and we respect the feelings of others by always replying. But that is just us, if others don't think the same that is up to them. |

I've seen a lot of profiles saying it's rude not to reply BUT it's also rude not to read. Why mail if you're not what that profile is looking for? I reply to most messages but sometimes this will result in the 'is it because...' mails! |

9 times out of 10 we will reply to messages but only if they have actually read our profile.
If we get a one liner (which is around 90% of our messages) then we tend to hit delete.
If they have made the effort, so will we.

When visible, my profile is not ambiguous: it sets out clearly what I'm looking for and what I offer.
I make it crystal clear I will not respond to anyone outwith what I'm looking for. If people choose to message me anyway they can wish all they like, their message is deleted and I don't give them another thought.
The sense of entitlement displayed on these forums is staggering! |

I work from a different mindset.. I dont think I am "owed" anything...
for me... everything is a no unless they reply otherwise.... think of it as being pragmatic! |

Would you really like to be told no you arent our type or what were looking for ? or just think hmm no response they probably arent interested.
Its much of a muchness to us, if someone takes the time to actually read our profile they will get a response otherwise no, as has been said you are not owed anything.

Our profile is quite long, there is a reason for this, it states what we are looking for and the type of people we wish to meet.
If we receive a message from someone who clearly hasn't taken the time to read it why on earth should I take my time to respond?
Swinging is a very small part of our very busy lives, our aim is to enjoy our time here, whether that be virtual (forums, chat etc) or by meeting not answering mail from those we do not wish to get to know! |

I reply to most messages. If however someone chooses to message me and they don't meet my preferences then I don't respond. I think it's rude to message people and not respect their preferences. |

We reply to all messages that have read our profile and delete all without reading that havent.
Personally dont take any offence at a lack of response to our sent messages.
Id rather be blanked than put down... |

I started out responding to all messages, just to be polite. I have found that some of the men here are unwilling to accept a simple "no, thank you" and seem to think that a friendly message is always going to lead somewhere. Not going to be quite so polite now. I don't like being asked why I am here if I'm not going to fuck them :o] |

Its a nice idea but in reality time is precious and to expect some to answer 50 plus messages a day is a little unreasonable. Take it as no reply means they are not interested I do. |

We used to reply to all messages and winks even if they clearly hadn't read our profile until yesterday that is when we said thanks but no thanks to a couple who are smokers and are into bdsm...only to be told that a couple who had verified us as being fun loving had clearly got the wrong couple!
Still laughing about that one now but not sure we'll waste our time being polite any more... |

same here...why should I get a load of abuse because I don't want to fuck everyone that messages me? Also, by deleting the message it then means if you try to message again then you will get a screen that states you have tried before and got no reply saving future confusion and repeated messages (ideally!) |

I think it is rude too but hey ho, that's the way of the world these days. Not worth worrying about really. No response = no interest in my book now. Just move on, someone is bound to respond at some point. Nil desperandum. |
