Hi all,
we went to Downderry this week for the first time this year and saw lots of anti-nudist graffiti sprayed over the rocks. It's on the way there from the main beach and also in the nudist area. It's telling people to inform the police if they see nudists. It looks hideous and obviously isn't a very nice message! Does anyone know what this about, and has anyone been hassled down there or anything? The beach seemed quieter than usual. |

I noticed and thought this as well, it's such a shame some people are being like this towards the nudist community it's not like it's in full view so if it bothers them just use the rest of the beach like everyone else. |

Probably just a single busy body.
This behaviour is usually triggered by deeply repressed envy or over zealous religious fervour so stripping off and ignoring it is the most effective way to deal with it.

someone else has mentioned to us its a dynamic between dog walkers who leave their dog's mess everywhere and the regular nudists at the beach. not sure if that's the true story or just conjecture, but there is a lot of posts on tripadvisor moaning about dog poo on the beach. |
