Its ok to not be ok.
If you are struggling with your mental health, be kind to yourself.
Take a little time out and reflect on the fact that no matter how dark things might seem, it isn't permanent.
Reach out to a friend, reconnect with something you know you used to enjoy.
Have that cake. Howl at the moon. Curse at the sun for saving up all the heat for a few days to scorch us rather than spreading it out over 4 months.
But know you are not alone.
If you know a friend is struggling, just be there for them. You might not even have to do anything other than be there. They'll appreciate it more than you realise and more than they'll let on.
Be kind and be awesome! You got this |

Amazing words pal. Not enough of us blokes will accept they're in trouble. Took me 3 years and a lot of upset to accept I hadn't dealt with losing 2 close friends within 3 months of each other, wife and kids leaving, then less than. 48 hours my dad passing. It's easy to brush it aside. But it only gets worse. Fast forward 3 years, I opened up to the doctor, got prescribed a small prescription, cut down my drinking, losing weight easily and speak openly to people about my situation which I've never done before.
In those 3 years I thought about taking my life on numerous occasions, but the thought of the trauma it would cause my young kids always stopped me.
As OP said, it's ok to not be ok. Reach out guys. Help is there.
Stay fabulous |
