How can the site protect against possible fake or scammer profiles ?
I've have arranged and agreed 2 meets everything in communications good 1 the person blocked me 24 hrs before meet for no reason. 2 meet was given false address. Both with couples and single ladies.
Think this could be quite difficult to achieve. What fo others think could be done.
I'm not new to the lifestyle and had some good times in early days on Fab that's going back 2014 and be for covid lockdown. |

Visit clubs, go to socials etc. Other than that, use your gut instinct, recognise that no system is foolproof, so anticipate that there will be always be fake profiles so you may need to take the hit at times.
Also recognise that some people back out and cancel for various reasons, including cold feet, or sensing a changing dynamic that they feel uncomfortable with and will sometimes deal with it by blocking etc. |

Thanks I follow that help, but its guidance and does not always mean things are going to workout as they should. |

The onus has to be 100% on us users, not on the site, to uphold our own safety by appropriate checks etc, as tough as we might expect a site to be.
Consider the benefits that technology has bestowed on us - you can now make telephone calls as well as video calls . And longer business hours means that we can meet in public places, rather than go to a stranger's home.
We can also review verifications and filter out newer users, etc.
We can't expect Fab to do the simple things that we can be responsible for. |

Regarding the person who blocked you 24 hrs before you were due to meet, most of us will encounter dead ends here. Perhaps they changed their mind and the easiest, most hassle free way for them to cancel was to block you. I'm really unsure what you think the site could or indeed should do? You can't force people to go through with meeting people.
And in the other situation, maybe meeting people socially first in a neutral venue for a coffee might remove some of the risk |

I have been swinging for over Twenty Five years before this web site even existed , I have had time wasters , people have blocked me after arranging a liaison, the best thing to do is get over it , move on people think the swinging scene is huge but oh how wrong they are , because sooner or later timewasters etc , get found out and they are finished .

I don't think the site can protect you op, other than looking into reports from members, about no shows/possible Scammers.
Then taking action if needed.
The one who blocked you may have had things going on, or just decided it wasn't for them. I know. It's frustrating, but at least you were aware before hand.
I'll give the same advice I give everybody on this, have a public social. That way if they don't turn up, you're not travelling miles for nothing.
Be vigilant, don't do sex chat & if it seems too good to be true it probably is.
Ask to chat to both on the phone or for a video call if a couple.
Always go with your gut instinct op and maybe get to a club or social, where you have more chance of meeting others ftf.
Good luck. |

I'll ask my usual questions.
Did you speak to these people on the phone or have a quick video chat, or were these meets simply arranged via messages on here?
Were they long standing, well verified profiles or new or unverified with no green tick or flag?

Verified, had green tick flag, but would not speak on phone or via video |

"Thanks to all the responses good relevant information. Closing the post down now
Why close the post OP?
Changed my mind leaving it open now"
Threads close automatically when they get to 175 posts or when a mod closes them. Individual posters can't do it |

That's strange because there's lots of threads that are apparently closed after my last post, and far before we get to 175... |

Using the Green Arrow we can’t see any threads that have been closed after your last post. |

If a thread is closed before 175 a mod will have done it as I said. There are various reasons for this |

Then why does no-one ever seem to post after them? "
Have a look at the posts you’ve made and then come back to us |

Quite honestly it's getting harder and harder to get meets for nearly everyone. There seems to be endless time wasters/trolls/ whatever here.
Honestly as cliche as it sounds clubs really are the way to go now, number of meets in the last 6 months from fab? 0.
Number of times I've played in a club? Well a gentleman doesn't kiss and tell, but you get the idea.

Swingers clubs and parties have been around since long before the internet existed and will always be the place to find genuine swingers. |

It's also perfectly possible to find people on here. You just need to use common sense and have a sensible level of expectation, use good due diligence and not taking everything you see/read as gospel.
If you saw a car/house/holiday advert online and it looked far too good to be true you wouldn't rush to buy it based on words and pictures on a screen, without doing a little more 'research'. Why should it be any different when considering having sex with someone? 🤔🤷♂️ |

Blocking someone is not a rule break so Admin won't be able to do anything about that as we all have a choice who we block. It might have been better if the person had sent a mail saying they had changed their mind etc but that isn't compulsory. Of course the profile will look blocked to you if it is disabled so there is that possibilty too.
If someone gave you a false address that you went to and they were not there that should be reported please |

All the red flags waving loudly there.
If someone’s unwilling to talk on the phone/video call they’re highly unlikely to put out. |
