"I see a lot of women and couples block single guys or guys my age , just wondering if that’s a common thing on this site "
we dont block single men just for being men. even though we don't really want to meet any right now. We block anyone who is rude, pushy, asks for female only meets, and doesnt know when to take no reply as a reply. |

I’ve been on this site for a while I speak with respect and always send a face pic but without even replying I get blocked, instead of blocking just say sorry not my type and we move on… |

When our profile is visible we'll get messages from Single guys asking to meet them.
It clearly says on our profile that we only go to clubs and dont meet.
If they cant be bothered to read our profile, or choose to ignore whats written then they get blocked straight away. |

Yes, guy's blocked.
Unfortunately many can't read, or just choose to ignore, the number of messages gets ridiculous.
If we want to meet a single guy, we instigate the conversation with them. |

Exactly the same.
Will give most a courteous reply if the message doesn’t sway from our profile wishes but the self awareness of many is comically bad.
The amount that think hubby is giving me away and should be thankful makes us wonder what their life outside of FAB is like. |

Some have a very good reputation. The problem is that there's a huge number that think joining entitles them to something.
Posting a thread about how terrible people are not to reply to his unsolicited messages probably puts the OP in that category. |

I have a singles profile and a couples profile and single men are my preference, so no I don't blanket block them.
There are lots of people on Fab, all looking for different things. Sometimes you just have to accept that you're not for everyone  |

Incredibly common for a multitude of reasons
Some couples only want couples (or a F)
Some couples only want a bi-guy
Theres an inexhaustible supply of single guys here, of which:
A not insignificant amount of time wasters, fantasists or just downright unpleasant/creepy
Gay men pretending to be couples or F
Majority either have blank profiles or put a random picture of their penis and figure that it's sure to work

I was a member on here about 13 years ago and through a site called Fuck Buddy I met up with a girl who ended up signing up the Fabs too.
Within minutes of signing up, even before any pictures were uploaded she'd received over 100 "fancy a fuck" type messages with cock pics attached.
It's not fair on the more civilised gent but I totally understand the female perspective in just blocking all single men. |

I can imagine the guys get blocked by something they’ve said or lack of reading a profile in the first place so they deserve to be !!!
If you’ve been respectful yet still get blocked then still don’t worry about it as it’s clearly not a connection to pursue or commit time into, just move on with no hard feelings as they must have their own reasons and you should respect that.
You have to put things into perspective here, I can only imagine the amount of sheer junk mail and messages single ladies and couples have to constantly get through to even find a decent conversation let alone a connection.
Be yourself and you’ll hopefully connect with others with a similar mind, interests and intentions.

People block those of any types that they don't want contact from - it's a win-win, as nobody gets to waste unnecessary time.
Focus on the others who have contact possible and you fit their requirements. |

We openly put on the profile that if we arent interested, we delete the message and we add that if they cant take rejection to not contact either.
Its really on them after that. |

We block all single males until we're looking for a guy at which point the filters go off for a while.
Reason being is we get inundated with far too many messages otherwise. Most are lovely, but some can't take no or the lack of reply and become unpleasant. |

It's not just your age, from getting to know many couples and a few sigle women over a few years on here it works in their favour to simply block and state not looking for single guys even when they are actually open to meeting some occasionally. I have learned how it seems to work, it's simple, they like to choose themselves rather than have 100s of usually unreadable or over enthusiatic or rude messages a day. Keep looking at profiles you like and if they are looking for single males at the time and see you have looked they may view your profile and if you're lucky you may get a wink or message which then opens the way for you to chat. Patience is the key. |
