People who try to get money from you

I’ve found a few people have tried to get you to send them money for cabs to them or other such things, with the idea to extort money from you for the promise of making the meeting happen… I have reported such things, but I wonder if those people rinse repeat and come back and use the same trick under a new identity… is there a place where we can share those details with admin so they are able to use that info in some way? I realise you can’t share personal details on the website, sure it must have happened before so wondered what the process might be?

What details do you mean?

If you've reported them admin will have checked it out.

As in bank details someone has used (not publicly obviously), just another way of identifying people that do this skulduggery … throwing it out there, not really with a clear idea in mind

I think, if people have been caught out like that on this website, it should be allowed to name and shane, like you said, they may appear as a different username again but with the same photo maybe, my answer to this is, anyone who looks for money, end of conversation

It seems there is a route to being able to consistently abuse this type of trick, which users need some protection from. It’s not the websites fault, and user discretion should be advised, but people will fall for it, and there might be a way to come to a process that helps minimise this

There's a feedback section that you could post this suggestion in .

Naming and shaming will never be all it's open to too much abuse

It's against site rules to ask for or offer money. I think it wise to realise that it's unlikely that someone on a swingers site asking for money or gifts is genuine.

Was thinking perhaps there needs to be another level of authorisation, such as a phone number or some form of individual identification.

Always report someone asking for money, gifts, expenses to get a taxi or any other reason. Let admin deal with it.

Reporting allows admin to deal with it. I'll post how in my next response

Here is an explanation from Admin from another thread on how they deal with reports.

******Just a quick note. If people report others and we can verify that they have broken site rules, we always take action (either a first and final warning, partially suspended account, fully suspended, mixture of the above).

Every single report sent via the REPORT link is reviewed. Clearly it's not in our interests to have people on here who are bad for the site. Equally we need to verify what has been reported and be fair to those who have been reported.

Admin

PS. we never provide feedback on what has happened. It's just not practical given that we get 100s of reports a day.

Here is what the page says after a report has been submitted:

--

Your feedback has been saved.

A website admin will shortly review your feedback and take the necessary action. After reviewing the evidence available to us, we may disable an account, remove a user, disable certain aspects of that user's account or issue a warning.

By leaving feedback you help improve the site for everyone who uses it. Thank you.******
