Not sure if this is the right forum but…

I’ve recently lost more than 9 stone in the last 18 months or so… I’ve found myself getting more and more self conscious about the loose skin I’ve been left with as a result. My friends have all been very supportive, and have tried to reassure me that it’s not as bad as I think it is. In normal day to day life it’s absolutely fine, I wear a compression vest under my clothes which makes me feel a lot better, but the thought of getting undressed in front of someone makes me feel increasingly more nervous.

My question is, would you care if the person you were hooking up with took their clothes off and had a similar problem?

Thanks

What others think does not matter.

People get rejected for very different reasons. Your circumstance is no different a 100 other reasons.

Appearance, attraction, and empowering connections are probably top of the list for wants and rejection.

What you ultimately need to be is confident in your self-image.

Yes, you have battle scars. Wear them with pride as you made the commitment to change your life for the good.

I had tried Slimming World a few times before but just had a serious talk with myself before I decided to join again, and made myself stick with it no matter what. Took about 18 months, and it wasn’t easy at times but it’s honestly the best thing I’ve ever done

I’ve lost to 6.5 stone (Mrs) and I definitely have wobbly bits, I’d love to have surgery to get rid of my loose skin on my thighs and arms but as time goes by I’m just grateful to have a healthy body and a body my Mr adores. I’ve got kids so do I really want to take the risk of surgery? Probably not anymore. The most eye opening part has been exploring my sexuality and finding curvy women the most attractive 😂 attraction is much more than physical, if someone can make us laugh and make us feel at ease that’s the most important thing!

The way I (Mrs) see it, is that it takes a lot of love and commitment to yourself in order to make that kind of change in your life. That to me, is incredibly sexy. I’ve slept with a few men that have lost a lot of weight and had loose skin, and with each one, their newfound confidence made it some of the best sex I’ve ever had.

I generally like people with confidence, a sense of humour about themselves and shared interests etc.

Xx

Look at it like this, 9 stone is a hell of a weight to loose. If you hadn't have lost that weight you could of had serious health issues. Look at it as your life saving scars same as women look at their stretch marks as tiger stripes. It wouldn't bother me but if your self conscious just mention it in advance

Well done

Loosing all that weight, that's a huge goal hit! Good luck in making it your norm going forwards
