Club etiquette/ the towel question
Jump to: Newest in thread
I was just curious if someone can explain to me the etiquette of towels in swinger clubs?
I mostly go to kink events where people generally don't care if you're wearing anything or not but when I've been to swingers nights I've always noticed the men disapear and then reappear all just wearing towels.
If I was going to strip down I'd normally just walk around au natural but am I commiting a faux pas if I do that? |

It depends on the club and where you are.
You'd look a bit silly in the hot tub in a tuxedo.
The Attic has a dress code that is adhered to, so the best thing to do is look up what the club you're going to has to say |

Some clubs have got rules regarding nudity, particularly at the bar. I guess it might be something to do with licensing?
I was also told off by a member of staff at a club for wearing lingerie instead of a towel. I was told they only allow lingerie to be worn on particular days, otherwise it's towels. |

Towel or boxers/shorts in the bar area is usual
Just because it's a club doesn't mean we all want to see every cock in there flopping around
And depending on the club you pick some bar areas also serve food so...

I Mr B prefer a nice pair of Boxer shorts to a towel. Mrs F nice lingerie or sometime a very small, no very very small dress. Towels on some men are so funny as they seem to think adjusting the towel, basically flashing their bits, every 5 mins is a good look. I never pull my boxers down then back up for adjustment once never mind every 5 mins |

A towel is correct unless your an adonis who wants to pose in expensive boxers! Most men look a tit naked!! Leave something as a surprise for the ladies as I do |

More likely to be because they don't want to expose their employees to more nudity than is necessary. |

Do you mind saying which club this was? I've been to a lot of clubs and never come across this.
I find towels incredibly unsexy, not to mention difficult to keep in place. |

That happened at Ignite, before it was rebranded as Ignite. Went on a Wednesday, was wearing a baby doll style dress/lingerie and was told by a member of staff that they only allow lingerie on Thursdays. |

Rules vary between clubs and can be strange. On a Friday night at Ignite I was told off for wearing a towel in the social area, 15 minutes later I am naked on the bed in the same social area with a couple I know going at it |

I sometimes have a feeling that rules vary from staff to staff in the same club, on the same night. |

We only been to one club but quite a few times. It's towels or shorts you need a little zip pocket to keep your bits in lol. Some guys walk without towel but the women don't take much notice. It's a bit of a surprise what's under the towel if you get lucky. |

At VA there are no hard and fast rules. If I am in the hot tub on Halloween bi night and I need a drink of water, I have no qualms going to the bar naked to get my bottle of water and then returning to the hot tub xx |

Having visited several clubs over the years I found the use of towels, apart from the obvious plus some modesty in bar area, was also encouraged to be sat upon thus helping bare bums seating hygiene |

Chams, the dress down clubs I've been too, people are occasionally naked in communal areas but usually not, depends on the vibe of the night, circumstances and how late it is
At the end of the night, a lot of people tend to be naked |

Totally understand being clothed on a social evening or up to a certain time, but this is club that has naturist days. I also don't like either having to get undressed piling my clothes up next to me (I'm not a trousers round ankles person), or popping down to the locker room when invited to play. Totally understand that you don't want the hand under the towel brigade wandering around (especially if theres a buffet laid on), but I found it an odd rule.
