Happy new year op.
At a club, simple answer expect nothing. Go and chat to people , be friendly, respectful and treat it as a night out and you may catch someone's eye.
My advice would be to research the club you're looking to attend, for their rules/etiquette before you go ie dress code.
Parties I don't know, they're not My thing tbh.I've seen a few where it's expected everyone plays at them. Maybe look at any events advertised in your area and contact the organisers to see if they can tell you how their events pan out etc.
Have fun. |

Advice from a couple about clubs
Go and introduce yourself to people and be friendly kind and respectful.
Our biggest problem in clubs especially with single men is they don’t talk to you or approach you in a friendly manner and it makes it difficult to find the good males |

Are you comfortable and confident to walk into any bar, anywhere, and strike up a conversation with strangers; if the answer is no or you’re not sure then don’t waste your time and indeed significant money at a club.
Practice interacting with strangers for no other reason than gaining confidence before going anywhere near a club. They can be hostile environments for guys who lack confidence or have dysmorphic opinions of themselves so be prepared to be ignored and not let it bother you.
Golden rule, have zero expectations, simply enjoy the meet & greet and the environment; anything else is a bonus; and “no” really does mean “NO” |
