My libido has been like a roller coaster since I have entered my 40s but I can’t say I have lost it . It is a good question though. Try to get it tested . There are private companies that would send you the home kit to test your testosterone level . It is worth having it checked.

There's some pretty easy ways to potentially boost testosterone levels naturally. Exercise, weight management, strength training, diet changes etc can all help. Quick Google search will give lots of ideas. Might be worth trying that first and if it doesn't work then see the doctor

Hi OP, you said you've been told you have low testosterone, who was this? Low testosterone can impact on other physical aspects of life not just labido so if this wasn't your GP go and get it checked and if necessary, start treatment. Also they can advise on other potential causes, general life stresses can have a massive effect. As another poster also suggests, there are natural things we can do as well and worth looking in to. But take away message...low labido can be treated and for can affect your general health, worth getting checked out.

Hi all, thanks for the comments, it was my GP that told me after a blood test, now rebooked for a follow up test next week to see if the levels are the same, PSA test was normal.

both of those can cause low libido, ask to get your results on your phone, they'll tell you how to do it, then you can look up whats normal, or optimal and compare to your numbers, best to inform yourself on this stuff also, dont leave it just in there hands, i now know more about this stuff than most doctors do! lol, Dr's can be slack often these days, so its best you also keep an eye on things, ive had results flag up and they havent even informed me!

Lifestyle changes make a HUGE difference. When I consciously try to lose weight, reduce drinking and do more exercise my libido improves measurably.
