"Could you have it sent to one of those pick up places?
It's probably because he's been to one of those pick up places that he needs a test."
I thought I'd worded it badly after I'd posted but ykwim. |

As others had said its discreet and it comes though the post box so no one has to answer the door to collect it. Its simple to use. The hardest bit is getting a big enough blood sample from your finger.
Obviously despite being discreet there's still a risk getting it to home. For example someone opens it accidentally. But your bigger risk and that to your wife is STI's untreated. So get it done, it's super important.
It's a great service and important all us who are sexually active with other people get tested regularly. Because however safe we are it's good to have that confidence we're OK and for others to have that confidence in us.

The blood sample is a nightmare to draw. The bathroom looks like a scene from Dexter by the time you’re done.
Honestly, my advice is to just go to a clinic. I don’t want to presume but, If the only reason you’re not using a clinic is embarrassment you’re doing yourself a disservice. Home tests are great, but there’s such a huge margin for error. Nothing is more thorough than the clinic. They have seen and heard it all before, nothing is a shock to them, and you can own up to your deepest, darkest secrets and they won’t even flinch. Judgement free. |

"Just go to an NHS sex clinic. It’s free and confidential. I’m clean, vaccinated and on prep. Your wife will never know "
Getting a clinic appointment in our area is a nightmare. Seems you have to log on at 1 minute past midnight or the appointments are gone. 🫤 I've been trying for 4 days now after they couldn't apparently test the blood sample I'd sent with my postal test kit.... |
