Most people are not mutually compatible with most other people.
People don't respond if they are not mutually compatible - they will look at the profile of people sending a message and decide if you are or are not. |

Too often it goes a bit like this:
"Can we chat?"
"What would you like to chat about?"
"I dunno. Anything."
"But you were the one who wanted to chat?"
"You decide"
So, if you're asking to chat, bring something to chat about. Even the conversations we have with strangers in real life start because of a talking point, so it's no different here.
Bear in mind also that there's a finite number of simultaneous meaningful conversations one person can maintain. |
