Hi all

I was just wondering if there is anyone on here that is either going through or has gone through prostate cancer and would like to chat?

I know guys don’t usually feel comfortable to chat about these things however, from a personal perspective, I would have really welcomed support from that had been through this before

So I am now completely clear of this blessed thing and now exploring the next chapter of my sexual life which I am really enjoying

If anyone wants to chat, share experiences then feel free to either comment or drop me a message

Cheers

Bedford

My FWB was diagnosed with a slow growing prostate cancer about 2 years ago. He had an option of either having regular biopsies and blood tests, hoping it would still be slow-growing, or having his prostate removed. He went for the second option, all got removed, in the nick of time, actually, as the tumor was already bulging out. He does struggle to get hard but he's not bothered by that as he found something that works for him - a hollow strap on. He can still experience the body on body contact, the thrusting etc, and it gives him a huge peace of mind.

That is really good news that you have both found a way forward

Likewise I do precisely the same, it is all about embracing the change and making the best you can to enjoy life to the full

Take care

Medway

I was very lucky.

Diagnosed quite early and my case was suitable for cryotherapy.

General anaesthetic, freeze and thaw the tumour several times over the course of an hour or so then discharged the next day.

Catheter for a week then slowly back to full function almost like nothing happened.

Cryotherapy for lower tumours or nano knife for higher tumours at the London prostate clinic.

Highly recommend it.

Not available on the NHS sadly and it ain’t cheap.

Feel free to PM for details if you are in need.

Fantastic news for you! So pleased you were able to manage with very little long term effect, the benefits of early detection!

Cheers
