Yes. Several things can be carried in the mouth. Such as Gonorrhoea. Chances of catching it? Who knows hence testing regularly. If you're cheating on a partner then you should always wear a condom even for oral. Or don't cheat!

So called sexually transmitted diseases can be transmitted via non-sexual routes, such as fluid exchange/contact, in transfusions, injections etc. Any time there are fluids then it's likely possible that you could pick up an infection.
You ask about infection rates. There are many STIs, so probably a web search would be your friend for all of these diseases, noting all of the areas that you have sex in, as some countries have differing rates.
