I'm in York on Thursday to Saturday. Any advice on what to see? Of course, you could lead me astray there too but what are the best attractions.

York

There are some fantastic city centre pubs such as the Olde Starr, a new one called the Duke of York, Pivni is great As is the house of trembling madness.

No visit to York is complete without a visit to the beautiful Minster! X

There's also the Viking museum and the dungeons.

The York dungeon is great fun (not 'that' type of dungeon)

I really like York - full of history and archeological sites etc.. - lots to see - enjoy

Closer than you think

A walk around the walls is free, and don't forget the many tea shop opportunities.

Seriously - if I had time then I would.

Unless things have changed since the last time I went, you actually get taken round on a large carousel - it's great fun as it attempts to take you on the journey - made me jump, laugh and hold my nose all at the same time

"Isn't there 365 pubs there?"

Used to be but numbers are way down now .

Walk the bar walls

Railway museum

Take in the feel of the city and its buildings

All you can do without even having to pay!

They even charge to go in the Minster these days.

Have a stroll around the bar walls, the daffodils are at their prime at the moment.

Lots of really good pubs in york - trembling madness, the hop, duke of york, maltings - and if you are coming here by train the york tap!

Enjoy

Brighton - even Hove!

I enjoyed a weekend in York, went to Bettys, the museum, a walk around the Walls and to the train museum.
