common sense and common decency

speak to people like you would speak in a normal night out, and if you get chatting to a couple make sure you talk to them both, not just to the ladies chest

village between York and Hull

The York social is a great night out. The best thing about socials is that people are happy to chat. It is just like a night out in any pub except you know the people there have similar interests so it makes striking up conversations a lot easier. Do not drink too much and just be sociable and have a good night.

Chat to loads of people. Get yourself out there and build up your network of new friends and potential play mates. Definitely don't overdo the alcohol.

You'll be fine. I was nervous the first time and I went as a couple! Just be yourself, relax and

chat to people. Its just like a big party and a lot of fun. Dont expect any play to happen. If it does its a bonus but I see it as expanding my circle of friends that may lead to something another time.
