common sense and common decency 
speak to people like you would speak in a normal night out, and if you get chatting to a couple make sure you talk to them both, not just to the ladies chest |

The York social is a great night out. The best thing about socials is that people are happy to chat. It is just like a night out in any pub except you know the people there have similar interests so it makes striking up conversations a lot easier. Do not drink too much and just be sociable and have a good night. |

You'll be fine. I was nervous the first time and I went as a couple! Just be yourself, relax and
chat to people. Its just like a big party and a lot of fun. Dont expect any play to happen. If it does its a bonus but I see it as expanding my circle of friends that may lead to something another time. |
