So, I've just messaged someone and had a reply saying "no thanks, we don't like your status updates". This is the 2nd time this has happened but the weird thing is I don't post status updates. How weird

Don't know anything about your's but status updates have put us off profiles before.

It's perception, nothing more, but that's first attraction, and it's swinging.

Good luck next time.

A lot of status updates posted by single women seem to be pure attention seeking, I guess it's good for the ego for some!

If you're not putting any up its odd but just sounds like an excuse to be fair. I block people who's updates turn me off, negative, rude, crude or abusive.

Maybe there's someone with a similar username who posts douchey statuses!

Here occasionally, but mostly somewhere else

Maybe it's the lack of them?

Seems like an excuse copied from a previous contact to me, though.

Sounds like a 'one size fits all' rejection note to me. But it is strange that you've had it twice from different people so maybe (as someone else has said) there's someone with a similar username?

On the plus side at least they're messaging back with a 'thanks but no thanks' - that's more than most give!

Maybe they mean your profile header bit it's not particularly offensive so I don't see how it would put people off.

Myself and my partner used to update our statuses about each other, I know, sad, but true, and we used to get people say they loved to read our 'romantic' updates and looked forward to them ... now we live together, reality has set in .... its even more fun, less time to do the status updates though

Feeling a bit queasy...

No need they are not really romantic ... but I did find it a bit weird people were 'following' them

Feeling a bit queasy..."

How odd!

I must say that I am often put off by status updates, especially the negative 'this site is shit' or 'been here weeks and not had a meet yet, what's wrong with me' crap but for them to say yours are off-putting when you don't use it is confusing.
