We've only been to one party but it was fantastic! What made it so good was that we knew most but not all the people there and everyone had met somebody there before. The hosts were briliant and explained a few simple rules beforehand. One of them being if the bedroom door is open then others can join in but if you want privacy then shut the door. The lounge area was used for breaks and social chat. it was very relaxed and great fun. Women outnumbered the men which I gather is fairly typical. All the single guys bar one cancelled at last minute or just didn't show up. mr didn't mind  |

Just recovering from attending a small house party last night. For me, what makes a good party, is the right mix of people, people that you can have conversations with and that you are attracted to.
For a house party I dont like to many people there, depending on the house size.
Never drink to much. Nothing worse than some d*unk woman (in my experience its always a woman that ends up d*unk, men genaraly do the driving and stick to the soft drinks).
Respect your host property.
And never be afraid to use the NO word if your not attracted to someone (dont think I used that last night  )
