So last night we arranged a meet. We chatted via message they seemed really genuine. Hasten to they did not turn up. We feel really jaded by this it was our first meet outside of a club. Guess what am asking is how do you tell genuine people from arse holes? |

That's such crappy behaviour  Not even a message to say "sorry, can't make it"?
Veris can help I guess, but even 20 verified meets is no guarantee that they haven't also done 40 no-shows.

Can't say I blame you. There are decent people who show up, or at least message in plenty of time if they can't make it.
Must admit though I go to a meet with at least a 50% expectation of being stood up, so I generally have a back up plan or at least am prepared to find something else to do for the evening.
That's one reason I tend to stick exclusively to local people, it's less hassle and disappointment if they don't show up.

I’m one of those annoying people who hide their veri’s but I’m always happy to give names to cross check and display a summary briefly if folk have doubts. I’ve had no shows for a social from folk who have lots of veri’s, no veri’s and even folk who confirmed a couple of hours before the meeting time. Fortunately not many. I just log back in and send a nice polite message saying thanks which usually results in my being blocked! Ah well. I used to think I had a great radar for time wasters it very recently I’ve been let down. |

"Join the club. We have had couples and singles behave like that. We do report them but admin dont do much about it x"
It was our first meet so knocked by it. Think we will stick to clubs |
