I know you can get this stuff over the counter now. I haven't tried it because I don't need it but would love to give it a go as I've heard it makes you feel a lot more active and other effects.
Can someone recommend a brand or explain what this really does?
What do I need to look out for,? Many thanks xx |

I am after trying the Cailas tablets see if they are as good as some people say I guess the plus side is the tablets last longer as one tablet does all weekend.
I have tried viagra get a banging headache, kamagra jelly works ok but again banging headache. |

They are all legally controlled, so should only be used when needed, if an approved person prescribes them.
You don't know the longer term implications of taking them and it could stop them working if you have a medical need in future, if you take them beforehand. You could be risking not having sex in future  . Remember the forum isn't for discussion of using medical chemicals in unapproved circumstances . |

If you don't need to take it you will likely have a rock hard cock all night and in the morning. Generally bigger and harder than without and staying hard after you come. You will get a rush within 20mins, face and neck will be glowing and heart beat increase making you feel hornier. You might have a slight headache next day. All brands should be the same but many feel the original is the best. 1/2 a 100mg tab should be plenty and on an empty stomach is best. |

While that’s true about active ingredient , in reality there is often a difference, cheaper brands use cheaper carriers and manufacture which impact absorption rates. Same with vitamins and oils |

Have used the kamagra gels.also cheaper gels the Vega and filagra ones all good.
If im taking the generic Viagra sildenafil ones I usually pay 15 quid for 12 100mg ones.a lot cheaper than the UK pharmacy prices. |

I took a Tadalafil last night, no side effects other than the length of time it lasts, you can take it on a Friday night and still be good to go on a Sunday. Not that I need to take them I just have a particular friend who likes to play for hours. In my opinion these are far better than viagra and kamagra as I’ve had banging headaches the day after taking them. |

I watched a documentary about a young guy who took Viagra on a night out and it caused him to not be able to get it up without it! If the erection lasts more than 4 hours it can cause the muscles that give you an erection to weaken because there isn't enough blood flow, causing you to not be able to get a strong erection without them.
If you don't need them, don't use them. It's like taking the paracetamol if you don't need to. Most of the time it won't cause you any short term damage, but can effect you in the long term |

I wouldn't advise it if you don't need it. My ex got really hot flushes and it just stayed up for hours and hours which made me sad. As I loved seeing him cum... But he couldn't that night. He didn't need it. We just young and naive seeing if it would be more fun... No, it wasn't.  |

Firstly, Viagra and Cialis are Pfizer and Lilly brand names respectively. I use the much cheaper sildenafil and tadalafil generics and do not observe any difference in quality.
Secondly, Viagra (sildenafil) was the first drug to be introduced. The newer ones are more selective and have fewer side effects eg tadalafil, vardenafil, avanafil. Tadalafil is cleared from the body very slowly hence the long lasting effect. |

There is mounting evidence that if taken on a regular basis when you don't have ED, that it can affect your ability to get a hard on without it. It can also cause heart problems as it may effect the nerve signals causing tachycardia. |

Don't need them but as I have got older probably manage less times but with them it's as many times as I want. Sometimes feel a little flushed but it doesn't last long. 25mg can last over 24h,thats not an erection but if you want one it's easy. If you decide to try it go for higher mg it's cheaper then cut them up as dosage is not critical. Worth having a chat to your Dr first though. |

This is not true if they are approved by the regulators the product needs to be the same. If their not approved then they probably don't even contain the correct active and may be dangerous |

As I said in the earlier post, the side effects are because Viagra is less selective. If you're having side effects, then switching to one of the others may solve the problem.
Yes, Cialis is stronger and that's why the dose used is lower than with Viagra. |

I have PIED (Porn Induction Erectile Disfuction) and those meds help me a lot to be able to get an erection and have a sexual life. But it was prescribed by my doctor.

There’s a lot of pseudo medical balls being spouted above in some posts
There’s no evidence it causes ED, it doesn’t raise blood pressure it can drop it (hence why a pharmacist will ask you about blood pressure drugs you may be on)
If you want the facts re side effects go and talk to a pharmacist or read one of the NHS sites don’t listen to some of the scare stories above |

The ones you get from the chemists without prescription didn’t work for me and if you ask the doc for them they refer you for blood tests and it takes ages...where can I get the other types please? |

I V differ from Ed and I take this,I take it in the morning I know I’m going to be getting action. I think it is great gives me confidence when in bed and keeps me Garda for about 5 hours also after a nights sleep it get hard when I wake up for a while but it may give you headache. |

Viagra can also cause hearing loss..be careful if your taking this if not needed..hearing loss won’t happen immediately but over a period of 48hours..if it does seek medical advise asap..
Happened to a close friend who only tried it to see what it’s like, just like a few on here have stated.. |

private prescription is not £8 anymore you are in for a shock !!! Apparently because the drugs are not subsidised like with Nhs prescription. I just paid almost £100 for some malarone I needed in a rush on a private script plus the £50 consultation |

Viagra is a vaso dilater that opens your blood vessels, yes it lowers your blood pressure and give u horrid dizzyness and headaches. In my opinion and I am medical, it should be used only prescribed and not to keep u hard , as it can be dangerous |

When taking the sildenafil Viagra always drink loads of water before during and after.this will give you less side effects .headaches.if your trying the Cialis for the first time best to try half a pill first.that may be all you need for a days fun. |

The 1000mg arginine tablet is the one where you can see a noticeable difference in libido.

Prices are based on whatever the pharmacy wants to charge you and it will vary depending on where you go, likewise consultation fees for a private appointment from your dr. Malarone is an expensive drug in general and costs way more than sildenafil. If you can afford to go on a expensive holiday with somewhere that has malaria, then expect to pay a pretty penny for the travel clinic |

Also Viagra Connect is the only licensed P medicine you can buy over the counter, but you'll still need to answer some questions to ensure it is suitable for you, but that's why it is expensive. It is unlikely a Dr is going to write a private prescription for generic sildenafil for recreational use as that would be frowned upon. |

Some biology, hope this is not too complicated-
Upon sexual stimulation, nitric oxide (NO) is produced which then causes cells to produce cyclic GMP. It is cyclic GMP that has the vasodilator effect leading to an erection. Cyclic GMP has a finite lifetime as it is destroyed by phosphodiesterase. Viagra and other ED drugs work by inhibiting phosphodiesterase and hence increase the lifetime of cyclic GMP.
But where does the NO come from? It is made from L-arginine so there's an argument for taking this. However, with a normal diet, you should have all the L-arginine you need. Taking a supplement shouldn't be necessary but doesn't do much harm either.
When L-arginine produces NO, the byproduct is L-citrulline. This is recycled in a few steps back to L-arginine. So you might as well take L-arginine itself if you feel you need to take an amino acid. |

I take viagra due to the side effects and f another medicine I take, 50mg dose works for me for about 12 hours. The good thing and lots seem to must understand is it doesn’t keep you hard or make you hard for long periods. If you’re not aroused it will just lower your Blood pressure, but when aroused the little chap in the pants gets harder and fuller than without,
( again because of blood pressure) I will say the side effects are headache and for me nose bleeds, but that’s a small sacrifice to see my FB cumming for hours of n my cock.
It right though if you don’t need them DONT take them. They may not work in the future when you do need them. |

If you generally don't usually need it, don't bother.
The concern is in some people, but not everyone, it creates blood pressure problems plus with any drug, there can be side effects.
Plus, if you are on any prescription medications for anything else, there have been known drug interactions resulting in side effects.
Certain long term health issues, say Diabetes, can rule out using Viagra, but as a substitute, Cialis is best.

Never found any of this to be true. Over the counter worked great for me and talked to Dr no blood tests a few questions that's was it, day or 2vwait for perscrition that was it, oh and all done over the phone |

Sildenafil Citrate is the active ingredient in all of these drugs. It started with Viagra (which is the trade name) and when their patent ran out the others were released each with their own name ie Ciallis or Tandafil.
They all have different "carrier or filler" ingredients which bulk out the dose.
Doses tend to start at 25mmg and go up to 100mg. If you need to take more than 50mmg a day then you may have a serious problem as it will substantially effect your INR number which can be an indicator of potential
heart problems. Do not mix it with other drugs such as Wafarin.
How do I know? Because I have been taking Sildenafill Citrate for over twenty years.

Cialis has been a godsend. I take 2 tablets daily and it has improved my ability to maintain a strong erection. I sometimes use a steel cock ring just to make sure. My ed is partially psychological and partly to do with hypogonadism (low testosterone) and the fact my ex took a razorblade to my genitals years ago when we split. Saving for an implant at the moment. |

Quick update: I met with a couple and their FB at the weekend - got mega stage fright and my pecker turned to spaghetti! I took a pill for it (yet to find out which type) and spent that night and most of next day feeling extra horny. Solid erection once it was up - wouldn't go back down. Tried Tadalafil for the first time last night... For me, it seemed to be more effective than Viagra: still some effect there after 24 hrs. Side effects, whilst there, seemed less acute. Used one 20 mg dose. |

Yes I did that and it works out at £5 a tablet. You have to have a chat with the pharmacist, answer a few health questions, Then and only then can you be judged safe and well enough to receive your first pack of four pills.
You will also get a slip of paper that says that you can request it again at a later date.
Personally the GP option is far cheaper, as you get 4 tablets for £9, today's prescription cost. If you need ant more meds then a pre-pay certificate will cover all your prescriptions for £30 and covers you for 3 months.
Simple maths, one box of four per month=sex once a week on average. |
