No idea... I don't broadcast my full name on my profile, but when I'm meeting I use my real name. (I'd get way too confused otherwise lol)

I do understand people want to stay anonymous etc etc but the name thing is a little daft i think. Especially when they message and leave their real name!!

Maybe it depends on how recognisable you are from your public photos, if you don't have any then there's no need for a "stage name".

Prevents things like Facebook-stalking and fishing for personal details... I know it sounds paranoid, but you'd be surprised how often it happens.

Stage name on profile but will let people know my real name if I've arranged to meet someone.

I actually like the who 'other persona' thing.

I totally get the stage name thing but having met some people on here it has come back to bite them on the arse especially in private ... So why not just be upfront ??

This makes me laugh we used to have stage names and used them on meets but we would fuck up each time and accidental use our real names much to the confusion of the other couple and our embarrassment , so we gave up. ......I would make a shit spy.x

My name (Caz) is actually a shortening of my real name of Carolyn.....however I'm known by my nickname which is a shortening of my maiden name (had it since I was 9) so no-one knows who the feck BlondeCarolyn is apart from my local mates and regular meets

Choice, if one feels more comfortable using a 'stage name' then so be it.

I struggle to remember my real name some mornings so a stage name would completely ruin me!

Depends if you have chosen a username which works as a stage name! I prefer my fab-friends to call me Curls! Its a name I chose for that purpose. Am so used to it now it feels natural.

I will be screwed if I ever decide to shave my head mind!

It is confusing when guys choose real names as their stage names! I have a john who is really Dave, a Dave who is really James and a Simon who is really Mark!!

I use a stage name - I actually prefer it to my real one - the neighbours know be by my stage name - Jim's family know me by it - my family are aware of it as well. The neighbours and Jim's family also know my real name but choose to refer to me by my chosen name which has very special meaning to me on a number of levels. It's my choice and I stand by it.

Because when signing up for the first time the form says "Not your real names", seems rude to break the site rules for no good reason.
