Polite all the way, if you were brought up with manners, stick with them, don't take any notice of what anyone else says and it will give the impression of a very nice decent man, not a pig. Nothing riles me more than pig ignorant ill manneredness |

Polite all day long !!!!
Nothing worse than being rejected, but being rejected in blunt way is not nice.
A bit of humanity does no one any harm, and may help keep a persons dignity. |

I believe I am polite and have been brought up well and I like to, more often than not, try to behave appropriate.... but I am candid and direct without offence, or at least I try to be.
I do not believe in all the fawning that goes on and I certainly am not part of the UK society that will say in a restaurant that I really enjoyed a meal ( after being asked ) and then go on trip adviser/or speak to others and bitch about the meal.

Totally agree, it is possible to make a point nicely. Of course if you make a genuine and polite complaint about a meal and the restaurant manager is rude then you may ever so politely call him every name under the sun and punch his lights out |
