"Does it feel any different not being straight and still feeling proud I never look at feeling proud of being straight I'm just proud of how I've turned out"

Can’t answer that, I just enjoy the female form.

A males sexuality, I have no interest in, so I’m just coming out, as straight.

I've always found it a bit odd to be proud of something that you had no choice about, whether straight, bi or gay but I'm happy that you're happy OP

It's not acceptance by but being part of the community

No one should be ashamed of who they are, that includes straight white heterosexual men

"No one should be ashamed of who they are, that includes straight white heterosexual men "

Question: is there an element of straight shaming?

There is a very small gobby militant contingent these days, mainly youngsters, who may give that impression but I would not call it straight shaming, unless you white and make with it. They worse with masculine gay men, trust me

Straight is the norm the majority of people, straight people haven't had to fight to have their relationships accepted, haven't had to fear for being open their sexuality for fear of violence, losing their job beinh shunned by their religion and community just for who they love.

But sure straight lives matter

"Let’s embrace difference!"

I don't really know what it feels like to be anything different, so can't say i sit and think it feels great.

I suppose it doesn’t feel disappointing.

Neither feels great or not great. Neither better or worse. I am who I am, no big deal. And because of my sexuality no big deal in society I don't need straight awareness. Shame people of all sexualities in this society are still unable to say the same.
