Always interested to find out how people got into this side of things, especially couples and how the subject was approached.

Hubby asked the wife if she fancied trying it? We both spoke about why and it was also suggested by Hubby we do a MFM first to reassure the wife it wasn't just so he could have another woman.
Didn't turn out necessary in the end as after wasting weeks trawling Fab we just went to Atlantis and found a couple to swap with. It's easier find couples who actually want to swap when you can both see the whites of each others eyes. |

I mentioned to Mrs that i wouldn't mind attending a club, just to see what it was like, with no aim to necessarily play. She took a look and rather apprehensively agreed to try it, and decided she wasn't into it - so we packed this bit of our life away for a while.
Then a couple of years ago, out of the blue, she suggested we have another go and we've enjoyed it since.
Bit of a shame we missed out on so many years of fun, but I suppose we just weren't in that place at that time. |

It’s really eye opening how people got into most.
It seems the more recent ones who have got into have been very open and with discussions, which is very enlightening.
Mine was triggered by seeing I shouldn’t have that then open the discussion.
I a k as o love the fact how open most are about how they started.

We didn't play that night just watched wide eyed.
Dabbled for a few years took a 10 year break for family reasons.
Got back into it about 5 years ago with a lot more confidence and knowing what we want out of swinging.

A former partner and I started with MMF swinging back in the late 1970's when I was still a teenager. No internet then, so we used contact magazines available on the top shelf of certain newsagents. You could post an advert or answer them. All done by snail mail. Surprisingly it was much easier to meet people in those days as I guess only the very keen could be bothered with writing letters.
Then we got into BDSM in the early 80's. We lived together on and off but by about 2003 we'd split up for good and then I started posting on a kink website. Met a few people from there then I began another long term relationship that lasted until she passed away a few years ago.
Now just dipping my toes back into things and fab seems to be the most useful website for actually contacting real people. So far it's been all timewasters but I've only been here a short while so I'm not surprised by that. |

Yeah, Rendezvous rings a bell. I think at the peak there were as many as four or five contact mags going. I can't remember their names as it was so long ago. Some of them were very low tech typewriter and photocopy jobs.
We advertised in a few and always got plenty of replies. I even got replies and meets when advertising as a single male. |
