My wife and I are stopping at a hotel just outside Barmouth for a few days the week before Easter and are thinking of giving the Morfa Dyffryn nudist beach a go, but never having been before have a few questions:
1) How long a walk is it from the car park? Google says up to 30mins, which is further than I would want to walk, but is this really the case?
2) Do you have to get fully naked? My wife is very conscious of her mum-tum, so would not want to get totally nude.
3) Does play go on there? If so, what is the etiquette, and how do you indicate she may be up for playing if she sees someone she likes?
Any other advice you can give would be much appreciated. |

1. Yes the walk is as long as people say. Mainly along the beach front so it's not the easiest of terrain.
2. She can wear whatever she likes. The beach is for everyone, it's just a designated naturist beach which means it's perfectly acceptable to be naked there. You'll see plenty of clothed people walking through the beach dog walking etc, totally not bothered by naked people.
3. We've only ever been in a family capacity, strictly vanilla. However we've heard and got the sense that play does go on in the rear in the dunes. We dont know of any etiquette per se. But obviously with any play be very careful not to be seen or impact any vanilla beach users like ourselves. Make sure you're super discreet because you don't want to spoil the beach for other users or cause any kind of sexaul offence. We can't emphasise that enough.
Also note you're a long walk away from any toilets or refreshments (as always seems the way with designated naturist beaches ). So make sure you go before you go and take a flask of tea. |

Please do not confuse naturism with swinging. While many swingers are naturists not many naturists are swingers. If you want to go to a naturist beach go to enjoy the freedom of taking your clothes off, not to fuck around and offend people. We have few enough naturist beaches in the UK and don't want to lose those we have. |

1) It's a fair walk, about a mile or so mostly on sand. It's worth it though.
2) She can wear or not wear what she likes, no one will be bothered by some clothes, or a mum-tum for that matter.
3) Play definitely goes on there. You'll want to be in the dunes to partake, there's a few hot spots but if you find yourself in an area invisible from the beach and people about (probably single guys) your probably in the right place. If a guy takes your wife's fancy she doesn't have to be particularly subtle, strike up conversation it will happen.
As others say your number 1 priority should be being discreet, at the end of the day people do bring families. Nobody wants the kind of attention you'll get from the wrong people seeing you getting up to stuff. |

Thanks for the comments and advice all, obviously discretion is paramount with anything like this. However this is a swingers site not a naturist site, so was looking from this angle as I know from talking to a couple of guys we know that stuff does go on there, and it was precisely because discretion would be paramount that we were seeking advice. Looks like we'll be giving it a miss though. |

I have friends in Barmouth and the locals are happy with the nudist beach, they have a problem with sex taking place in the dunes, and there have been incidents where families have stumbled across sexual activity (reported to police) |
