I think tidy is the key, whether that be all off, or nicely trimmed. Not so keen on untended gardens, but obviously there are those that do like them.

I used to shave and loved being smooth. It only ever stayed smooth for one day though and the ingrown hairs were a bitch (not willing to be waxed). So just too much upkeep for me.
It's a bit of an out of control bush at the moment but I now prefer trimmed and just shaved at the sides.

I just keep mine trimmed on the sides and top. But like a neat triangle of pubes.
