Signing Messages

Was just wondering if anybody indicates whoes it is whoes replying when they have a couples profile.

Very often the messages received state 'I' rather than 'We' and im always wondering if it's the male or female that has responded.

Would be nice if those replying gave their name or both names.

This is one of the reasons why I limit my interactions with couples on here, apart from those on the back of a forum thread, game or photo challenge which is innocuous enough.

From one or two past experiences I've found their methods to be duplicitous and manipulative when it came to 'anonymised' conversations.

Always make very clear who's replying

It's generally me (female) but if I've left hubby on fabmin duty for any reason he makes it explicit it's him.

I use 'I' despite our messages usually being from us both with a coup!e of exceptions. Always using 'we' can be awkward and I wonder why people would respond differently according to who they were talking to.

When I had a couples account, it was always very clear which one of us was talking. We signed every message individually and our styles of chat were very different as well. Most of the time, it was me anyway.

Our real names are on our profile and our profile blurb states that it's always me (female) doing the messaging. But, I always sign off with my name or initial in private messages, well at least for a good chunk of the first messages sent anyway.

What WE do find frustrating is when its assumed they are automatically talking to Taz on a couples profile

We always sign off with our names, just like our forum posts. Although Bear forgets on the forum sometimes.

When on my couple profile, I always sign off miss, if it's me chatting and jack say if it's him.

I agree it makes it easier for people when hit identify who is chatting.

Depends on the depth of the interaction.

If it’s going to be a conversation then it’ll be I, the husband.

If it’s just no thanks I will speak on her behalf and it’s from us.

Considering that 95% of the time we’re responding to dick pics and “hey” I think that’s reasonable.

I wish couples profiles took the form of a group chat when messaging, where each person had their own font and image for their reply. Much easier to know who you're talking with then.
