"Right people, how far is too far for potential partners? Do you mind travelling? Or if someone is a little far but can travel to you, does that work for you? "
When I was meeting I would meet halfway if a bit of a distance. There is always a risk that someone would let you down so I would never travel more than 30 mins until I knew that they were genuine.
I was lucky to have met a few reg fwb's and a few travelled 3 - 4 hours to come stay overnight in a hotel I was in through work |

Yeah the element of risk has to be taken into account I guess. We should be able to red flag people on here perhaps 😅 |

I prefer local only nowadays, for any first meets.
I wouldn't be willing to go too far for someone I'd ever met & I wouldn't want anyone to travel a good distance to me either.
I think it creates expectations, ie that it'd be more than a social, if they've travelled for a while to meet me.
If I've met someone a few times, I've travelled in the past to Leicester and Liverpool. I knew the people wouldn't let me down though. |

When I was meeting, I always preferred to accommodate (I don't drive) but never overnight. Also, I prefer regular meets to one-offs, and both those conditions meant my cut off point was roughly an hour drive. Regardless of how far the other party were prepared to travel.
Nowadays I only meet at clubs so distance doesn't matter. |

Just travelled 1.5h for a first meet and have travelled over 1h each way for someone we’ve met a few times. Sometimes he to us, sometimes me to him.
I like driving and there’s not swing scene near us - we also travel similar distances for clubs. |

I did a halfway meet with a forum friend to 90 miles. Warrington was our meeting place, as she was from Kidderminster.
I have travelled to Townhouse (Birkenhead) before now, that’s 105 miles for me…. |

The more interested I am in meeting someone, the happier I am to travel. I don't mind if someone comes to me buut... it's very, very rare that I'll do more than kiss and ride their thighs the first time we meet.
I like travelling, mini adventures. And if I'm in the area anyway, great. All of that with no pressure works for me. |

There's too many disingenuous people on here to travel too far. We live in hope that others will see us as genuine & travel to us, but the idea of travelling for an hour or two just for a lime & soda in a naff pub isn't for us. |
