It's not too hard to know if a profile is genuine, whether they are who they say they are.

Talk with them long enough they will let slip clues.

It’s not a scam it really works. I thought that I was chatting with a woman in Winchester U.K. and it found her US linked in profile. Just don’t sign up to the monthly subscription

They are easy to spot, if it seems too good it's because it is.
