Also recommend attaching to rope. Even better if the rope is tied in such a way that an attempt to loosen the constriction applies a bit of lift to the hook

My partner loves hers, attached to a collar or braided into her long hair with rope.

Slop knot between the pair to add to the tension, usually getting tighter to make her feel it when she flinches.
