Why is it a genuine compliment sometimes leads to a block?
I love a compliment. So struggling to understand why someone would block when they receive one.
Thoughts? |

Without any context of what you’ve said will just say even though you mean it as a compliment it may not be perceived as a compliment. Fab isn’t for the sensitive being blocked by people who aren’t interested happens to us all. |

"Was it the first message or the last in a long line that weren't answered before it?"
First message. I don’t bombard with repeated messages like some on here. |

I used to reply to compliments.no more. Too many experiences of getting them from people I state on the profile no interest in and they send one any how. Fair enough
However, they then use my thank you reply as an indicator to try and generate a conversation and can get abusive when I shut them down.
Additionally, if I put up the filter for no messages from men (which I do occasionally) if I've replied to them they can bypass that filter.
Hence, it's just easier not to reply, and I feel a genuine genuine compliment shouldn't expect one either.
A compliment is just that. |

"It's pretty simple I would imagine, in that the person is not interested. And they are not wanting any further messages as some people are so entitled that they think they deserve a response."
Cheers. BTW I never mentioned a response. I don’t expect a response. My point was about being blocked what I view as a positive.
But we’re all entitled to have our own opinions |
